The Concord Honors are pictured during a recent ALHP session studying Lincoln On Leadership. Lincoln On Leadership is part of a month-long series celebrating Lincoln's role in ending slavery, and the president's continuing impact on America. The many faces of Lincoln will take our discussions to various levels of understanding in reference to "Lincoln's Face of Leadership and Character". Harvard Scholar, Henry Louis Gates,presented and authored this documentary. He is a native West Virginian.

Marshall University Engineering Fellows recently partnered with BB&T to work with Big Sisters Big Brothers during the annual Christmas Tree sale. The Huntington Fire Department was their first customer in this service event.

On December 13, 2008 a service event was held to top off the annual Salvation Army project. This also was the kick off for the United Way project for the ALEF and ALHP participants at Concord University. Joining in this event were University President Aloia and General Foglesong.
